Summer School Information and Sign Up

SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION 

Henry Clay is pleased to offer 3 opportunities for students to recover failed classes during a shortened summer session. 

The session dates are:

Summer Session 1:  Monday June 10 - Friday June 14:  8 am - noon
Summer Session 2:  *Monday June 17 - Friday June 21:  8 am - 1 pm
*there will be NO class Wednesday June 19 in honor of the Juneteenth holiday  
Summer Session 3:  Monday June 24 - Friday June 28:  8 am - noon

Additional information:

  • Students may only take 1 class per session
  • Each weekly course is the equivalent to one semester 
  • Students are required to attend the entire class for every day of the session in order to receive credit
  • Students may only take a course they have failed and need to make up 
  • Students successfully completing the class will receive the appropriate credit and a grade of D will be awarded to replace the current failing grade
  • Students are required to follow all class, school, and district rules and policies. Failure to follow these policies could result in a student being removed from the class or the summer program entirely  
  • Students are responsible for providing their own transportation, bus passes will be available on a limited basis
  • *Meals will not be provided but there will be snacks and drinks available for purchase (*a light snack will be provided during Session 2 since the time is extended) 
  • Students will enter and exit in the assigned areas daily and students entering the building will be subject to a search of their persons and/or belongings
